The difference between "Booster Mode" and "Eco Mode"
- Electric Backup Element: This feature ensures your hot water needs are always met, even during times of heavy demand or extreme weather. It activates as a secondary heating system, providing extra support when your heat pump alone can’t keep up.
- Eco Mode: Designed to reduce energy consumption and save on operating cost – it optimises the heat pump’s performance by using less electricity. While it’s a cost-saving feature, it doesn’t rely on the backup element unless absolutely necessary, keeping your system energy-efficient.
Together, these features provide a balance of reliability and efficiency to suit your needs.
How to connect the heat pump to my mobile device?

TROUBLESHOOTING YOUR HEAT PUMP
Not Enough Hot Water
- Check that the temperature setting on your unit isn’t too low.
- Long showers or high hot water usage can quickly deplete the stored hot water.
- If your household has high demand, consider switching to Hybrid Mode to ensure consistent hot water supply.
- If you are experiencing no hot water, please consult your installer/an expert for further troubleshooting.
WiFi Not Connecting
- ENEFT heat pumps operate on a 2.4GHz WiFi band. To connect successfully, ensure your phone is also connected to the 2.4GHz network.

Why does my heat pump keep starting and stopping throughout the day?
- This is completely normal. Your heat pump automatically starts heating when the water temperature drops below a certain level, and it stops once the set temperature is reached.
- Factors like high hot water usage or colder ambient temperatures can cause the system to run more frequently.
- To make it more efficient and align with your daily routine, you can set timers to control when the heat pump operates – for example, between 11am and 3pm when most family members are out at work or school.
The water tastes/smells different than usual
- If you’re noticing a difference in the water’s colour/taste/smell within 1-2 days of the heat pump installation, don’t worry – this could be caused by new plumbing materials such as plastic or copper pipes. This is easily fixed by flushing the system out by running your tap for a few minutes.
- If the unusualities persist for over a week, consult your service provider or a local plumber to check for leakages and other serious problems.
Low Water Pressure
- If you’re experiencing low water pressure, check that the water inlet valve is fully open.
- Ensure there are no blockages or kinks in the pipes leading to the heat pump.
- If the problem persists, it could be an issue with the plumbing system or an obstruction in the heat pump pressure tempering valve (PT valve) or the tempering valve (mixing valve) — contact your hot water service provider for assistance.
Heat Pump is Making Strange Noises
- Heat pumps can make noise while operating, but if the noise seems unusually loud (louder than 55 db – 60 db), it may be due to air trapped in the system or debris in the filter.
- It may be due to foreign objects being lodged into the fans or near the compressor parts.
- If the noise continues, consult your service provider to check for potential mechanical issues.
Error Codes Displayed on the Unit
- If an error code appears on your heat pump display, consult the user manual for guidance on troubleshooting.
- Common issues may include water temperature sensor errors or communication problems. Resetting the unit by turning it off and back on can sometimes solve the problem. If the error persists, contact customer support or your installer for further troubleshooting
Heat Pump Not Heating Water Properly
- If the heat pump isn’t heating water, check the temperature settings and ensure they are set correctly.
- Confirm that the unit is receiving power and that the breaker hasn’t tripped.
- If the issue persists,it may be attributed to a refrigerant leak or a malfunctioning PCB.In such cases, please contact a service provider where they will assign a technician for service check / fix.
Water Leaks Around the Unit
- A small amount of water coming out of the condenser pipe is normal. However, if you notice water pooling at that location, excessive water flow out of the copper pipe / condenser pipe exit, ,
- If the leak persists, it may be due to a clogged drain line or a faulty valve, and you should contact a professional for repairs.
